Dr. Darline Augustine's research focuses on firms and society. She is interested in the behaviors, practices and structures that influence firm performance. Broadly speaking, Dr. Augustine's research portfolio includes topics in Corporate Governance, Inclusive Finance, Entrepreneurship, Gender and Race. Her approach to research is collaborative, and she works with colleagues from various fields, including but not limited to, psychology, accounting, and finance to examine the nuances that influence firm outcomes.

Dr. Augustine has a B.A. in Political Science (Economics) from Hamilton College; MSc. in Policy and Administration and a PhD in Management (Managerial Economics and Strategy) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.Â
